Terms of use
The rules for using Utilith. They are deliberately short, because the site is deliberately simple.
1. Acceptance
By using Utilith you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.
2. What the site offers
Utilith provides free browser-based utilities for text, data and files. The tools are provided as they are, without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep a backup of anything important, and check the output of a tool before relying on it.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the tools for personal and commercial work. You may not use this site to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to attack the site, or to attempt to extract content in bulk at a rate that degrades it for others.
4. Your content
You keep every right to the text and files you bring to a tool. Since processing happens on your device, we never receive that content and therefore claim no rights over it. You are responsible for the legality of the material you process.
5. Availability
The site is provided on an as-available basis. We may change, suspend or retire any tool, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
6. Intellectual property
The design, code, text and branding of Utilith belong to the project. The name and logo are not licensed for use in a way that suggests an endorsement. You are welcome to link to any page.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the project is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this site or of the tools, including lost data or lost profit. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusion applies only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated. The date below shows the current version.
